What in the Heck Does That Mean? A la Provençal

A la Provençal is another fancy pants cooking term with a simple meaning. It is French for “in the style of Provence.” Provence in a region in the south of France. The term  generally refers to cooking in a dish with olive oil and garlic, but can sometimes mean with olive oil and herbes de provence, or, olive oil, tomato and garlic. Pretty much anything tastes great cooked this way. From sauteed and stuffed vegetables, to fish and chicken.
